Hi! I'm Caitlin, wife of James and mama of Maxwell. I am a proud USCG wife, former ballerina, photographer, and retail manager. Being a working mom isn't easy, and this blog gets {seriously} neglected now and then {most of the time}, but I keep up with it when I can.

8 Months Old

Clothing Size:  He's still wearing 6 month clothing, but it's starting to get more snug and he can fit into some of his 9 month clothing.
Feeding:  Maxwell is still getting breast milk for about 90% of his meals.  He only gets solids once a day so far, but he loves every second of it!  His absolute favorite are carrots, but he also loves sweet potatoes, squash, and pears.
Sleeping:  He sleeps really well most of the time, but we're going through more teething, so that's definitely set him back in the sleep department.  I've put him to bed in his crib a handful of times, and he did great, but I'm still not ready for him to be away from me all night.  I think a lot of that stems from him having breathing issues early on.
Milestones: He's pulling up to standing on EVERYTHING and he's already "cruising" from one piece of furniture to another!  I just have a feeling he's going to walk early.  He even let go of my hands a few days ago and stood for a couple seconds.  He babbles a lot, but he's not using consonants much yet, he mostly yells...lol.  Today in the car we think he copied us saying "dada", but it sounded more like "gaga".

Favorite Moments
Just like last month, there aren't a ton of great shots from my camera.  But, I did take a lot on Instagram this month, so I'll post all of those first.

Thoughts on the eighth month
You're officially mobile!  And you have two speeds, sitting still and full force!  You know how to crawl, but you mostly walk on your hands and feet.  You are also pulling up on everything and love to cruise around the furniture.  You're starting to teethe again and your poor little gummies are hurting you a lot of the time, so hopefully you'll have some more teeth soon and some relief!  You love eating your solids, or nom-noms as daddy calls them and you can put away carrots like no one's business.  You love chasing your kitties all around the house and they're starting to like you less and less now that you are so fast!  You finally sit still and let me read to you for a little while each day.  So exciting, since your first 8 months you hated being read to because it meant you couldn't climb around!  You still love the bath and could play in there for hours, you usually come out with pruney little feet  I can't believe we're only 4 months away from your first birthday, your first year is flying by.
